Little Corona Del Mar Beach

Here is a glimpse of one of our favorite beaches. It's a wonderful place for snorkeling, boogie boarding, checking out tidepools, relaxing, and having fun under the sun. Being blessed of having several beaches within a half an hour drive distance away, we are usually presented with an array of options to choose from. For some reason we are always drawn to this one.

West Fork San Gabriel River Trail

We have attempted this trail earlier this year, but we decided to give it another try since the weather had recently toned down a bit. The entire trail itself is 16 miles round trip (if you want to make it all the way to Cogswell Dam), but since we kept on getting sidetracked with a little  fishing and exploring here and there, we were only able to do about 8.5 miles of the trail this time. However, we were able to see so many interesting critters and sights along the way, even more than the last time we visited this area. We'll have to venture here again, and hopefully the next time we will actually complete the whole trip!

Monrovia Canyon Park / Falls

We stumbled upon this little gem with help of some random internet browsing. A densely wooded, predominantly shaded 3 mile hike makes this place a highly enjoyable one, especially when the last few hot days of the end of summer still linger around over here. At the end of this part of the trail is a decent sized waterfall (considering the time of the season) that is somewhat rewarding and refreshing at the same time. We will definitely be back.

Stoddard Flats / Peak

Nestled near Mt. Baldy, we've hiked more popular hikes in the area while this place was overlooked. We are sure glad we finally gave it a chance. An enjoyable, 6 mile hike, this place started off with quaint mountain cabins leading into sprawling hills, and eventually ending at Stoddard Peak.

A Continued Story.....

I always enjoy being out and about in the great outdoors. There is something so tranquil and refreshing with nature, and a good hike is always another plus. My husband and I have been on several hikes, fishing trips, and traveling excursions, and I figured I would document our adventures as we go. May I also add, what better way to enjoy nature and the outdoors with your best friend too!
Although many of our past adventures won't get the opportunity to be showcased here, we most likely will revisit those little gems again and get a second chance to view them in a different light.
